04/13 – 04/19
04/13/2015 – Monday – Travel Day
Left St Louis bound for Seattle – via Phoenix, of course. The price you pay (less!) for a layover in a city that’s actually farther away than where you’re trying to go. Landed (finally) in Seattle and it was dark, raining, and 45 degrees. Yay Seattle spring. Yay.
04/14/2015 – Tuesday – Rest
Deserved.
04/15/2015 – Wednesday
8m, 1:20, ~100′ – Lake Union and 3m, 0:35, ~300′ – CH
Joined Andy on a Lake Union run. We talked and solved the world’s problems one mile at a time. After I got home it was a full out family run along the normal Cherry Hill loop.
04/16/2015 – Thursday – Rest
Maybe that was a bit much too soon. Maybe. Or maybe I went to a work function after work and couldn’t function afterwards. Maybe.
04/17/2015 – Friday – Rest
It’s takes work to go to after work functions and some days you just need to recover.
04/18/2015 – Saturday
4.5m, 0:44, ~550′ – Discovery Park and Seattle Symphony’s Shostakovich Leningrad Symphony.
Went for a little loop around one of the prettier parks in Seattle. I had plans to run farther, but this turned out to be just the right distance for the day considering how much time and energy I had. We went and took in the Seattle Symphony’s Shostakovich Leningrad Symphony in the evening which starts and ends on powerful themes but meanders in the middle. Not my favorite, but some thematic elements that I keep finding myself humming a few days later.
04/19/2015 – Sunday
13m, 2:47, ~3800′ – Tiger
I really like running on Tiger. And by running I of course mean hiking the steep uphills and bombing the technical downhills. I’ve hit almost all the trails on the north side and for the part don’t really need a map, although I take one with me just in case. You just never know.
Weekly running miles: ~28.4
Weekly running time: 5:26
Weekly running vertical gain: ~4,744′
